In 2008 EW gives Indiana Jones 4 a B-, saying “At its best, it’s a satisfying shuffle of the deck of famous Spielbergian moments that have gone before in E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Raiders of the Lost Ark”
Today they write “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” is not a very good movie.” Which was true? Both? What changed?
Why, it’s almost as if people are giving movies a pass until they see what everyone else thinks.
The strange part is Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull was much worse than everyone said in the beginning. Now, it’s probably not as bad as everyone is making out. That’s just the way it goes with groupthink, momentum, and mass communications.
